BJP not invited, Cong. rethink
It seems that some BJP leaders started shouting too early and too loudly that they would not attend the ``tea-party'' being hosted by the Pakistan High Commissioner, Mr. Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, for till this evening none of the party leaders had been invited - although some names are supposedly on a `list'.

JKLF strikes a different note
The All-Party Hurriyat Conference suffered a setback today with one of its constituents - Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) - deciding to boycott the tea party at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi in honour of the President, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, on Saturday. All the seven executive members of the APHC have been invited to the party.

'Indo-Pak. issues important for U.S.'
The Bush administration has said that while the outcome of the coming Agra summit will have to be left to the Governments of India and Pakistan, the issues the two countries are going to deal with was not only important to them but also to the United States.

Undeclared directive to panel: Karunanidhi
The DMK leader and the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr. M. Karunanidhi, has alleged that the Chief Minister, Ms. Jayalalithaa, had clearly indicated how the report of the one-man commission of inquiry should be. ``All that the inquiry commission has to do now is to reaffirm it in its report,'' he said.

Nawab wants Musharraf to plead Junagadh's case
As if the Kashmir dispute is not enough, the `Nawab of Junagadh' has sprung up from nowhere to claim that accession of Junagadh (now part of Rajasthan) to India is disputed and that Pakistan should not ignore the sentiments of the `subjects of Junagadh' as and when it takes up the issue with India.

'No PoWs in Pak. jails'
Pakistan today maintained that there was not a single Prisoner of War (PoW) in any of its jails and if there was any evidence to the contrary the military government was prepared to look into the matter.

Bangladesh train arrives
The Bangladesh passenger train, first after 36 years, arrived at the Indian border at 3.20 pm today, welcomed by hundreds of women and children on this side of the border.
