Appointments approved

WASHINGTON, JULY 12. The U.S. Senate foreign committee has approved the appointment of Mr. Robert Blackwill as Ambassador to India along with 15 other diplomatic appointments.

Ms. Wendy Chamberlin's appointment as Ambassador to Pakistan was also approved, along with the envoys to Britain, France, Russia, China and Israel.
