Pravin Chhajed, new Lions International director

AHMEDABAD, JULY 13. Mr. Pravin Chhajed, member of the Lions Club
of Karnavati (Ahmedabad), has been elected international director
of the Lions Club International, one of the biggest service
organisations in the world, for a two-year term till July, 2003.
Mr. Chhajed, who is the first Lions member from Ahmedabad to be
elected after Mr. Rohit Mehta held the post 31 years ago, will
represent 54 countries of South Asia, Africa and the West Asia.
