Corporation council to meet today

CHENNAI, JULY 19. The next meeting of the Chennai Corporation council will be held on July 20 at 10 a.m. at the Council chamber in Ripon Building.

The meeting was called for as per rules of the MCMC Act, 1919, (Appendix 2, Paragraph 3 (1) a), a Corporation press release said.

The agenda includes approval of the draft list of polling centres for the forthcoming local body polls. The issue was redirected to the Ward Committees by the Mayor, Mr. M. K. Stalin, in the special session of the Council which met on July 10 after the Opposition councillors alleged discrepancy in the draft list.
