The bleak landscape widens

If only the clouds darken. This is no autumn, this is the end for the city's neglected trees. The more sincere tree wardens have reason to worry. On the one hand, the available avenue trees are under threat from a host of predators such as hoarding contractors, road engineers, and pro-vehicle city planners.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen what approach the present Government takes to avenue trees, and whether there will be a new set of tree wardens. One of those appointed tree warden in the earlier regime, Exnora International, has been taking up the cause of the city's greenery in faraway cities in the United States. Its founder, Mr.M.B. Nirmal, has been busy forming friendly units in America, with the hope that they will help keep the city's green alive.

What sets apart the city's greenery from global metros ? Travel anywhere from down under Australia to up there New York, trees are provided their living space by the urban planners. That means a circle of life around, and not death by concrete. Those who are concerned, are eager to make this one of the planks for the Mayoral poll, hoping to see a green candidate running for the job.
