i-flex's sixth centre in Chennai

CHENNAI, JULY 19. i-flex solutions plans to set up an offshore
development centre here. It is a crucial step in I-flex's
expansion programme to address all the facets of financial
services software. This 25,000 sq. ft centre hosts state-of-the-
art infrastructure. With an initial investment of Rs. 15 crores,
the Chennai facility will focus on the development of customised
software for large investment banks, private banks, securities
trading houses and brokerage establishments, said Mr. Deepak
Ghaisas, CEO, India operations, at a press conference here.
The Chennai facility, the sixth development centre, will tap the
huge potential of investment and wealth management systems
globally, said Mr. N. R. K. Raman, Head, IT service division. The
company has two development centres in Bangalore and Pune each
and one in Mumbai.
i-flex is an SEII CMM level 5 company and employs more than 1,800
professionals. It has established 12 global support centres
across the world.
It has entered into alliances with Accenture, Compaq, Hewlett
Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and others. The company
has provided IT solutions and services to more than 290 financial
institutions in over 70 countries. Flexcube, its flagship product
has been ranked among the world's top two largest selling
wholesale back office banking systems.
