Fun and sentiment
VENKATACHALAPATHI CREATIONS' ``Royal Family'' is basically a good
subject with entertainment in mind, according to veteran
cameraman Babu. Rajesh Varma, who makes his directorial debut,
says that the film has a strong storyline backed by good music
and dance. And he talks about the theme: ``Saravanan and Chinni
Jayanth are orphans. They miss maternal affection. Manorama does
not have children. Both meet but a swami interferes to mar a
wonderful relationship. The friends want to strike it rich and
royal. Do they succeed in their endeavour?
Saravanan is optimistic that this film will give him a boost. A
highlight of the film is the climax which features ten elephants.
The cast includes Roja, V. K. Ramaswamy, Kovai Sarala, Alex,
Kumari Muthu and Ponnambalam. Christy has composed music for the
lyrics of Nesakkumaran. The camera is cranked by veteran Babu.
John Babu and Kool Jayanth have choreographed the dance
sequences. Editing is by Deena. Story, screenplay, dialogue and
direction are handled by Rajesh Varma.
