Sena demands dismissal of Farooq Govt.

NEW DELHI, JULY 22. The Delhi unit of the Shiv Sena today held the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir Government responsible for the killing of Amarnath pilgrims and demanded the dismissal of the Farooq Abdullah Government and handing over of the State to the Army.

The Shiv Sena executive, which met here today, expressed anger over the killings at Seshnag, a few km. from the Amarnath cave in south Kashmir. The committee passed a resolution urging the Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Mr. G.C. Saxena, to dismiss the National Conference Government, a Shiv Sena statement said here.

The unit chief, Mr. Jai Bhagwan Goel, said the security arrangements were not adequate even though the Government was aware that after failure of the Agra summit, militants would step up attacks.

He termed as ``sheer foolishness'' the Government's ``unilateral tune of friendship with Pakistan'' and said that such a massacre ``is the result of such foolishness''.
