SP to stall Parliament over Phoolan's murder
VARANASI, JULY 26. The Samajwadi Party will stall proceedings of
Parliament over the dastardly killing of party MP, Phoolan Devi,
its president, Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav, said today.
Alleging that both the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh Government
were responsible for the murder, Mr. Singh told presspersons here
that Phoolan's security was withdrawn in a planned manner with an
eye on the coming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. Also, Phoolan
had demanded a license for a weapon, which was denied by the
Mirzapur District Magistrate.
