Campaign on rainwater harvesting
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, JULY 30. The Chennai Metrowater and the Tamil Nadu Water
Supply and Drainage Board have come together to launch an
awareness campaign on rainwater harvesting.
As part of the campaign, an information centre will be set up in
the TWAD Board's headquarters along the Marina. Publicity
material will be available at the centre. Officials will provide
advice to those who want to install RWH mechanisms.
The centre will be declared open by the Local Administration and
Water Supply Minister, Mr. C. Dorairaj, at a function on Tuesday
at around 4 p.m.
Sources say a plan is being worked out to establish RWH facility
initially in all government buildings on the Marina.
