'United thieves of India'

NEW DELHI, AUG. 2. The Unit Trust of India today got a nickname - ``united thieves of India''.

The name was given to the beleaguered UTI by the Congress member, Mr. P.R. Dasmunshi, initiating a discussion on the adjournment motion on UTI in the Lok Sabha.

He said nexus between several corporate houses and the UTI resulted in the ``scam of the millennium'' which hit hard millions of small investors.
