Wockhardt doubles vitamin B12 capacity

MUMBAI: Wockhardt has more than doubled its manufacturing capacity of vitamin B12 to 3,500 kg this year to make significant inroads into the global market. ``In 2000, we increased the capacity from 700 kg to 1,700 kg and this year it has more than doubled to 3,500 kg", Wockhardt chairman, Mr. Habil Khorakiwala, said in a release. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the formation of red blood cells, maintenance of a healthy nervous system and helps growth and development in children, he added. - PTI
