Bosnian officers in custody
AMSTERDAM, AUG 5. Three senior Bosnian Muslim army officers
charged with war crimes against Bosnian Croats committed mainly
by Islamic ``Mujahideen'' fighters from outside were in custody
in the Hague, a U.N. Spokesman said.
The tribunal yesterday said the indictment against Generals
Mehmed Alagic and Enver Hadzihasa Novic along with Brigadier Amir
Kubura covers crimes committed between January 1993 and January
1994, a period of vicious fighting between Muslims and Croats.
The three were detained on Thursday by police from Bosnia's
Muslim-Croat federation and transferred by plane to the
Netherlands.
