It's quiz time again


IT'S BIGGER. It's better. It's back. It is time once again for the Landmark Quiz 2001. The largest open quiz in the country will be held on August 15, at the Music Academy. It is co-sponsored by The Hindu and Expressions, the card makers.

The quiz, an annual Chennai event, has been attracting the young and the old alike for over eight years now. In fact, over 900 teams participated this past year.

Like always, teams of three will have to answer 40 questions, audio and visual included, to make it to the finals, which will have eight teams on stage.

The winners will take home prizes worth Rs 30,000. The second prize is worth Rs 15,000 and the third, Rs 9,000.

The Best School Team and the Best Corporate Team will get gifts worth Rs 6,000, while the Best Team Name will fetch the team Rs 3,000 worth gifts.

The premilinary round will begin at 3.30 p.m. and the finals at 5.30. p.m.

Entry forms are available at the Landmark store, Nungambakkam.
