Tension in U.P. towns
LUCKNOW, AUG. 6. In view of continued tension, curfew remained in
force today in three localities of Muzaffarnagar while security
was beefed up in other parts of the city.
In Mathura, two people were killed and six injured during a clash
near Barwari village. However, unofficial sources described the
clash as an outcome of communal tensions and placed the death
toll at four.Fifty-three persons have been arrested for creating
disturbances.
