March past!
IT'S WELL past midnight and the Maruti splutters to a halt bang
in middle of the road. You vaguely remember that the service
station's telephone number was on the sticker somewhere on the
dash board. Well, the number is faded, but with much difficulty
you read it and call up the service station only to be told that
it is located very far away. Perhaps, you could try the nearest
service station?
The real problem surfaces now. Where to get this info? Help is at
hand now. Call up this toll-free number 1600 11 1515 and you get
the required telephone numbers in a jiffy. Welcome to the Maruti
call centre (which they call a Customer Information Centre).
The Maruti Customer Information Centres, hitherto operational
only in Delhi and Gurgaon, are now extended to Hyderabad,
Bangalore and Chennai. The centre was inaugurated in Hyderabad on
Monday after extensive trials, according to Kanwaldeep Singh,
Assistant General Manager, Corporation Communications, MUL.
The centre can be accessed (24/7/365) for any information on
Maruti models, range of colours, specifications, prices, test
drive facilities, delivery period, finance options, contact
information about dealers and authorised service stations.
Customers could also report problems related to Maruti products
and services.
"It's yet another channel of information for personalised and
professional interaction with the customer", J. Sugimori,
Director, Marketing of Sales, MUL, affirms. The MUL is getting
infrastructure and technological support for these Customer
Information Centres from General Electric.
