Glenmark ties-up with Brazil firm

CHENNAI: Glenmark Pharmaceutical has tied up with Biobras of Brazil and Ambalal Sarabhai group for marketing insulin products in India. Glenmark launched human and animal insulin vials of 40 IU through their new anti-diabetic division `Healtheon.' The products are Insunorm, Human Insunorm, Insulong NPH, Human Insulong NPH, Insulink, Human Insulink and others.

Moser Baer gets Euro

CHENNAI: Moser Baer India had secured a long-term export credit of Euro 97 million (equivalent to $84 million) from a syndicate of European investment banks led by the Munich based Bayerische Hypo-und VereinsBank AG), the third largest bank in Europe. The long-term credit has been guaranteed by leading European Export Credit Insurer Hermes Kreditversicherungs AG, acting on behalf of the Government of Germany. A final agreement between the company and the lenders syndicate was signed on August 2. With this borrowing, Moser Baer has attained full financial closure for the $233 million expansion of its media production facilities to 760 million units.

Bangalore IT.Com 2001

CHENNAI: Bangalore IT.COM, Asia's biggest IT and telecom event, is being held from November 1-5. The event is aimed to consolidate India's positioning among the world IT company, according to Mr. Vivek Kulkarni, IT, Secretary, Government of Karnataka. Over 500 leading IT companies, 75,000 professionals, besides the government functionaries are expected to participate in the five-day show. It will attract among others CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, COOs, policymakers, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
