Srikkanth, Raju to promote game among NRIs
NEW YORK, AUG. 7. Former Indian captain K. Srikkanth and left-arm
spinner Venkatapathy Raju will visit Singapore, Hong Kong,
Toronto, major cities in the United States and Britain to promote
cricket among Non-Resident Indians.
Announcing the visit, the New Millennium TV, which has largely
Indians as its audience base and is sponsoring the visit, said
the two cricketers would start the visit in Singapore and then go
to Hong Kong. The engagements include participation in fun-filled
cricket matches and conducting quiz shows and clinics.
In the United States, they would visit Los Angeles, San Jose,
Sunnyvale, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Detroit and Florida. The two
players will be in Britain from September 4 to 7.
