Speedera Networks in pact with Rediff.com

CHENNAI: Speedera Networks inc. a top tier global provider of content delivery services, has announced that Rediff.com India has selected it as its content delivery service provider. Speedera's content delivery network delivers Rediff.com's web pages much faster, by routing content requests to the server closest to each user's location, according to a company release. Rediff.com is using several Speedera services - from web content delivery to global load balancing.

Discreet launches visual effects products

CHENNAI: Discreet, a division of Autodesk, has come out with new versions of its industry award-winning products, Smoke version 4.2 and Flame version 7 in India. Flame is an online, resolution- independent, visual effects and compositing system while Smoke is meant for commercial television non-linear editing and finishing. According to Mr. Pankaj Kedia, Regional Manager, South Asia, Discreet, `Flame' is a real-time online digital effect toolset, ideal for smaller boutiques.

Goldstone Tech ties up with Korean firms

HYDERABAD: Goldstone Technologies has entered into an agreement with Kumho Metertech and System-Gate, two Korean companies, to set up the first Indo-Korean IT Joint Venture in Seoul. The new JV company was inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Kumar, Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea at a function in Seoul. According to a press release, the new company's focus will be on training, offshore development, enterprise integration applications and customised product development in the area of ERP and banking.
