Governor rushing to Chennai

CHENNAI, AUG. 12. The Tamil Nadu Governor, Dr. C. Rangarajan, is
rushing to Chennai, in view of the tension following the violence
during the DMK rally here.
According to Raj Bhavan sources, Dr. Rangarajan, who is in
Hyderabad, would reach Chennai tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, the DMK president, Mr. M. Karunanidhi, told reporters
here that he telephonically informed the Governor about today's
incidents. ``He informed me that he will take action,'' Mr.
Karunanidhi said.
