Cyclist killed

CHENNAI, AUG. 12. A cyclist was killed by a Metrowater tanker lorry on Muthuswamy Bridge on Saturday evening.

Elephant Gate police, which is investigating the case, said the 14-year old cyclist, Mr. C. Sathya, was riding on the left side of the road when the tanker (TML-2238) hit from behind at about 5-45 p.m. The lorry has been seized while police are on the look out for the driver who is absconding.
