Former tennis player killed
PUNE, AUG. 13. Former junior national tennis player, Mr. S.
Kartik Raj, who was kidnapped from a lodge in the city for a
ransom of Rs. 7 lakhs, was done to death by the abductors on
August 8, police said here today.
Briefing reporters, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. M.
C. Mulani, said Mr. Kartik Raj (21) was murdered by four persons,
including one of his former room-mates, Santosh Bariar (25),
hailing from Samastipur in Bihar.
