Traffic regulations for I-Day programme

HYDERABAD, AUG. 13. In view of the Independence Day Celebrations
and the scheduled parade at Secunderabad Parade Grounds on
Wednesday morning, the City Police Commissioner, Mr. P. Ramulu,
has announced traffic regulations. According to the arrangements
made, the cars of the ministers and judges will be parked beside
the iron barricades on S.P. Road, about 100 yards away from their
alighting point, according to a press release.
The protocol officers having Z-1 passes would park their vehicles
behind the parade formation. Entry on S.P. Road between Central
Telegraph Cross Road and YMCA Cross Road would be "One Way"
between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. Before the commencement of the parade,
cars with passes would be allowed from CTO Junction towards YMCA.
After the parade, cars would go in the reverse direction towards
CTO Junction.
The road from Cantonment Garden to SBH X Roads would be open for
all vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. While the invitees
coming from Begumpet side on vehicles with VIP, AA, A-1 and A-2,
B-1 and B-2 passes are requested to proceed to CTO flyover via
Rasoolpura junction, those coming from Upper Tankbund and
Ranigunj have been asked to proceed via M.G. Road/Parklane. The
vehicles with AA, A-1 and A-2 passes would be parked in front of
the MCH office (under the flyover bridge) and those with B-1 and
B-2 passes in the compound of the office of the Chief Engineer
Project Ordinance Factory.
Cars without passes would come via R.P. Road and proceed upto
YMCA junction. Scooters and cycles can be parked either at
Gymkhana Grounds or on either side of St. Ann's School Road.
As part of the traffic regulations in connection with the "at
home" party being hosted by the Governor Dr. C. Rangarajan on the
independence day at Raj Bhavan, the vehicles with "green" colour
passes will be allowed through the main gate of Raj Bhavan upto
the front steps of Darbar Hall.
Vehicles with "yellow and blue" colour passes would be allowed
through the exit gate of Raj Bhavan till the steps of the Darbar
Hall. All these vehicles would be parked at the Administrative
Block.
While the invitees with "pink" passes are requested to alight
outside the Raj Bhavan main gate and park their vehicles at
Lakeview Guest House, the vehicles of the officials would be
parked at Dilkush Guest House premises and those of the other
invitees on the road between the college of Nursing and Raj
Bhavan main gate.
The City Additional Commissioner of Police Mr. K. Aravinda Rao,
in a separate press release, advised the general public
proceeding to attend the independence day celebrations on
Wednesday not to carry any hand bags, brief cases, cameras,
tiffin carriers or other instruments.
However, any persons found carrying such objects would be
subjected to frisking and checking by the police as part of the
security arrangements. The public have been requested to
cooperate with the police in this regard.
CJ to hoist flag
The Chief Justice Satyabrata Sinha would unfurl the national flag
at the High Court at 11 a.m. on the Independence Day. All the
judges, judicial officers, officers, advocates and staff would
attend the celebrations, according to a press release.
