Allsec Technologies to expand

CHENNAI, AUG. 13. Allsec Technologies, a multimedia, integrated, outsourced contact centre handling response management to international customers, through any media on a 7x24 basis, plans to have strong footing in its business by tapping more clients and increasing the number of seats to 2,000 by the end of 2002. The company has tied up with Ford Motor Company of the U. S. to support their operations worldwide.

Immediately, the company would be enhancing the seats to 500 from the present 150 at a cost of Rs. 25 crores. This would be funded by increasing the equity and getting assistance from IDBI. At present, the existing shareholders and employees are holding about 85 per cent stake in equity and the balance 15 per cent is held by the IDBI. Mr. A. Saravanan, founder and president along with Mr. R. Jagadish, Director and CEO promoted the company and the contact centre was set up in the first quarter of last year.

Allsec is at present operating for the clients in U. S. It plans to expand its activities to U. K and in the Asia-Pacific region. Through the present operations, it is expecting a revenue of about $2 million in the first year. Its centre has IVR and voicemail capabilities. The network is done by Lucent certified cabling and WAN connectivity.
