Congress candidate axed to death

NIZAMABAD, AUG. 14. A Congress ward member contestant was axed to
death by some persons in Nagampet village in Kagaznagar mandal of
Adilabad district in the early hours of Tuesday leading to
cancellation of the polling process in the ward.
The Adilabad SP, Mr. Mahesh M.Bhagwat, said that the villagers
found the victim, Chintapudi Dharmaiah, murdered. The SP said the
victim had running rivalry with a TDP worker, Golla Hanumanthu,
and the murder could be due to disputes. He also said three more
persons were suspected to be involved in the murder.
