CITU leader flays Govt.'s transfer policies

By Our Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, AUG. 14. The CITU State general secretary, Mr. P.K. Gurudasan, has flayed the UDF Government for what he termed ``politically motivated'' transfer policies of employees.

Inaugurating a protest dharna by employees of the Kerala State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank under the banner of the CITU-affiliated Kerala Cooperative Employees' Union, Mr. Gurudasan called for measures to stop the Government from effecting politically-inspired mass transfers of employees in violation of all norms.

The CITU leader urged for collective action by employees to resist the ``errant policies'' of the Government.

Among the trade union leaders who addressed the dharna were Mr. C. Velayudhan Nair, Mr. G. Sasidharan, Mr. P. S. Madhusoodanan, Mr. M. Shivakumar and Mr. B. Sasikumar.
