Bharati Mobile launches premium service in State

HYDERABAD, AUG. 15. Bharati Mobile Limited today launched a
premium service for its customers in Andhra Pradesh by providing
regional roaming between Karnataka and Chennai.
Under this value added service, subscribers of AirTel can make
STD calls without paying any security deposits and can log onto
AirTel networks in Karnataka and Chennai. Yet, they will continue
to be local call customers while in the home network in Andhra
Pradesh.
A press release by the company on Wednesday said the facility
could be availed of by signing the regional roaming application
form and paying a nominal monthly rental of Rs 30. While roaming,
the customer will be billed under the heading `roaming charges'.
Airtime usage and SMS will be charged at Rs. 10 a minute and Rs.
3 a minute respectively.
The CEO of AirTel in Andhra Pradesh, Mr. I. B. Mehra, said the
company had recently launched roaming on `Magic' between AP and
Karnataka. The latest service was part of its efforts to add
value to its customers by addressing their critical requirements.
