Several trains diverted, rescheduled

VIJAYAWADA, AUG. 17. The South Central Railway has announced the diversion, rescheduling and partial cancellation of its services in the Chennai-Gudur section to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian subway on August 19.

The Vijayawada-Chennai-Vijayawada Pinakini intercity Express will be partially cancelled running only up to Gudur and back on Sunday. The train will be cancelled in the Gudur-Chennai section.

Similarly, the Bitragunta-Chennai-Gudur(438/437) passenger will run only till Gummidipundi and back. The train is being cancelled in the GummidipuNdi-Chennai section.

The Chennai-Hyderabad tri-weekly(2967) express scheduled to leave on 5.30 p.m. on the day will leave at 7.45 p.m. The Chennai- Hyderabad Charminar(2759) express scheduled to leave at 6.10 p.m. will leave at 6.50 p.m.

The particulars of trains that are being diverted via Renigunta are as follows: Hyderabad-Chennai Charminar(2760) express leaving Hyderabad on August 18, Jaipur-Chennai (2968) express leaving Jaipur on August 17, Guwahati-Ernakulam(5624) express leaving Guwahati on August 17, Ahmedabad-Chennai Navajeevan(6045)express leaving Ahmedabad on August 18 and Howrah-Chennai Coromandal(2841) express leaving Howrah on August 18 will be diverted via Renigunta.

Trivandrum-Howrah bi-weekly(6323) express leaving Trivandrum on August 18, Chennai-Howrah(2842) Coromandal express leaving Chennai on August 19, Chennai-Ahmedabad Navajeevan(6046)Express leaving Chennai on August 19, Chennai-Hyderabad (7058) leaving Chennai on August 19 and Chennai-New Delhi G.T.(2615) express leaving Chennai on August 19 will be diverted via Arakkonam.
