Uma Bharti 'hurt' over report

BHOPAL, AUG. 19. The Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Uma Bharti, said she has been hurt and does not want to say anything about the reports that the BJP leader, Mr. Govindacharya, had proposed to her ten years ago. ``I have been hurt a lot over the issue. I don't want to comment,'' she told reporters.

The reports said Mr. Govindacharya conceded that he did put forth a matrimonial proposal a decade ago, which had not been accepted by Ms. Bharti.
