Tata Steel bags PM's trophy
JAMSHEDPUR, AUG. 19. Tata Steel has got the Prime Minister's
trophy as the `Best Integrated Steel Plant' in India for 1999-
2000.
Tata Steel, India's largest integrated steel plant in the private
sector, got the distinction for the third time, according to a
company press release.
The steel major, which is Asia's first-ever integrated steel
plant, got the PM's trophy for the first time in 1994-95 and then
consecutively in 1998-99 and 1999-2000.
Besides the trophy, Tisco would get a cash award of Rs. 1 crore,
the release said.
