Srinath hopes to be fit in 3 weeks time
BANGALORE, AUG. 19. Injured speedster Javagal Srinath hopes to be
fit in three weeks time. It may be recalled here that Srinath
suffered a fracture in his left hand's little finger after being
struck by a Dilharo Fernando delivery in the recent Galle Test.
Srinath returned to Bangalore and consulted Dr. Premchand Kincha.
And the news is heartening for the Indian team mired in injury-
woes.
``Recovery has been good,'' Srinath told The Hindu here on
Sunday.
``I can resume normal physical activities immediately. In fact I
can bowl, just that now I cannot hold a bat or take catches. Dr.
Kincha said that I could resume batting and catching in three
week's time. Actually I can face the spinners after two weeks and
improve on it,'' he said.
