No replacement, says Lele

MUMBAI, AUG. 19. There will be no replacement for the injured Indian speedster Javagal Srinath, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said.

The secretary of the BCCI, Jaywant Lele, speaking from his house in Baroda said that there would be no replacement send for the injured fast bowler. The Indian team will have to do with the 15 players there as there are only two Tests left, Mr. Lele added. If there is a fresh injury to any other player then the situation can be reviewed and a replacement can be flown to Sri Lanka immediately, Mr. Lele added.

India is already depleted with the absence of star batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and V.V.S. Laxman as well upcoming left arm pace bowler Ashish Nehra.
