Freeze goes on para-medical staff recruitment
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI, AUG. 20. The Health Minister, Mr. S. Semmalai, today
informed the Assembly that the ``freeze'' on recruitment on para-
medical staff had been removed.
Intervening in the debate on the State budget, the Minister said
the recruitment would begin soon.
The Education Minister, Mr. M. Thambidurai, clarified that the
present Government had not fixed afresh the age limit of 35 for
recruitment of graduate teachers.
``Only a GO was issued recently to ensure the proper
implementation of the age ceiling which had been fixed years
ago,'' he said.
However, the government would look into the issue if there were
any difficulties, he added.
