Ranil invited for talks

COLOMBO, AUG 21: The Prime Minister, Mr Ratnasiri Wickramanayake,
today invited the leader of the United National Party for talks
on forming a government of national reconciliation.
The state radio, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, said Mr.
Wickramanayake had written to the Opposition leader inviting him
for discussions on a national government for the ``good of the
country and the economy'' and for a resolution of the ethnic
conflict.
