Cameras for protection
By R.K.Radhakrishnan
CHENNAI, AUG. 23. Why are there so many cameras in the Assembly ?
The Chief Minister, Ms. Jayalalithaa, says these have been
installed to ensure the protection of members.
It was in response to an observation of Mr. C. Gnanasekaran (TMC)
during the budget discussions that the Chief Minister made this
observation. The member said he felt insecure, sandwiched between
DMK and PMK members.
``Some had planned to engage in terrorist acts in the Assembly
and the 12 Films Division cameras have led to their abandoning
their designs,'' Ms. Jayalalithaa said.
