CADD Centre ties up with Danish company

CHENNAI, AUG. 23. CADD Centre, engaged in offering CAD/GIS products and services, has tied up with the Denmark-based DpS CAD-Centre to launch its Pcschematic Elautomation software for electrical design in SAARC countries. As per the agreement, CADD centre will market, sell and support the product through its own offices and training centres in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

Addressing presspersons, Mr. R. Parthasarathy, executive director, CADD Centre, Pcschematic Elautomation software was meant for electrical engineers. ``Electrical designers in India have limited tools to complement their design activity and the introduction of Pcschematic would change this''. It allows engineers to concentrate on the design and takes care of the project documentation needs.

CADD Centre has so for identified about 96 companies and plans to tie-up with more companies offering specialised software solutions in CAD, said Mr. C. R. Vaitheeswran, Chairman and Managing Director, CADD centre group. The company hopes to train atleast 1000 engineers in the next 12 months. The fee structure is yet to be fixed.

DpS CAD is a 23 year old company and its products are being used in more than 20 countries. Its customers include ABB, Siemens, among others.
