Tension in village
INDORE, AUG. 26. Tension prevailed in Dudhia village in the
district today after four persons of a lower caste were injured
in an alleged clash with upper caste members over linking names
of lower caste girls with upper caste boys. A few days back such
a list was reportedly circulated in the village, leading to
tension in the area. This morning when members of the lower caste
went to distribute milk, they were attacked by the upper castes.
Houses of the lower caste were ransacked and their vehicles
damaged.
