Muslim Personal Law Board denies talks with PM on Ayodhya

NEW DELHI, AUG. 28. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has
today categorically stated that the Prime Minister, Mr.
A.B.Vajpayee, has not held any discussions on the Ayodhya issue
with any significant group of Muslims so far.
In a statement released here today, it was pointed out that
during the Prime Minister's recent visit to Lucknow some Shia and
Sunni Muslim groups had met him.
But Qazi Maulana Abdus Sami of Kanpur, who led the Sunni
delegation had ``vehemently denied'' having had ``any talk on the
crucial issue of Ayodhya with the Prime Minister.''
