Krishan Kant to attend funeral

CHENNAI, AUG. 30. The Vice-President, Mr. Krishan Kant, will be
arriving here by a special IAF aircraft from New Delhi on Friday
afternoon to pay his homage to Mr. G.K. Moopanar. According to
information reaching here, the Vice- President would be
accompanied by former Prime Ministers, some senior Central
Ministers and Congress leaders, including Dr. Manmohan Singh and
Mr. Pranab Mukherjee.
The AICC general secretary, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, who accompanied
the Congress president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi and who returned to the
Capital along with her, is expected to arrive here again on
Friday morning to participate in the funeral.The Congress will
also be represented by the Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr. S.M.
Krishna, and the AICC functionaries, Mr. M.N. Fotedar and Mr.
Oscar Fernandes.
