India pips South Korea
NEW DELHI, AUG. 30. in a closely-fought thriller, India today
edged past South Korea 4-3 in its third match of the five-nation
junior invitational hockey tournament being held in Kuala Lumpur.
Both the teams were locked 2-2 at break with Tejbir Singh (9th)
and Amarjit Pratap (30th) scoring for India through field goals.
The match appeared to be headed for a draw with the teams tied 3-
3 before Jugraj scored the winner through a penalty corner
seconds before the hooter.
The win helped India move atop the points table alongwith
Australia. Both teams have 7 points with a draw and two victories
each.
