20 killed in bus mishap

AHMEDABAD, AUG. 30. At least 20 people were killed and 26 others
injured when a Gujarat State Road Transport bus crashed through
the protection wall of a bridge and fell into a dry river near
Dahod this afternoon.
According to the Home Secretary, Mr. K. Nityanandam, the bus was
going from Viramgam to Dahod when the accident occurred. The
driver of the bus lost control and fell into the Ghodapa river
near Limkheda.
There were 46 passengers in the bus of which 20 were killed on
the spot and the remaining 26 injured. The conditions of several
of the injured were stated to be critical in the hospital.
