8 Pak. soldiers killed
JAMMU, SEPT. 1. Eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in heavy
gunfire and shelling between Indian and Pakistani troops along
the Line of Control in Poonch, Jammu and Rajouri sectors since
Friday night, defence sources said here today.
Pakistani troops resorted to heavy mortar shelling accompanied by
indiscriminate firing. Indian troops retaliated and in the
exchange of fire, eight Pakistani soldiers were killed and five
of their bunkers were damaged.
