Border dispute meeting postponed
MUMBAI, SEPT. 2. The meeting convened by the Prime Minister, Mr.
Atal Behari Vajpayee, today on the boundary dispute between
Maharashtra and Karnataka has been postponed at the behest of the
Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna.
Mr. Krishna had informed the Prime Minister about his inability
to attend the meeting owing to his preoccupation due to
prevailing drought situation in the State. Meanwhile, the
Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, has requested
the Prime Minister to convene the next meeting at the earliest.
