Pak. denies its soldiers were killed
ISLAMABAD, SEPT. 2. Pakistan has denied that eight of its
soldiers were killed in exchange of fire with Indian troops along
the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and Rajouri sectors yesterday
but admitted that the two countries exchanged fire.
A defence spokesman said reports that eight of its soldiers were
killed in gunfire between Indian and Pakistani troops were
``fabricated''. He, however, admitted that firing took place in
the areas mentioned by India.
