Eight killed as truck falls into gorge

KOLHAPUR, SEPT. 2. Eight persons were killed and 46 others injured when a speedy truck fell in the deep gorge in Bhiv-Ghat section on Atpadi Road in Sangli district, some 120 km from here yesterday evening.

The incident occurred when the ill-fated truck, carrying people, was on its way to Budhihal village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sangola police station.
