'Will it be a re-run of Agra?'
India has conveyed its dismay to the military establishment here over the spate of contentious statements in recent days and wanted to know if Islamabad intended to re-run the course of Agra at the scheduled meeting between the Pakistan President, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, in New York on September 25.

PM to meet Musharraf on Sept. 25
India today confirmed that the meeting between the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, and the Pakistani President, General Pervez Musharraf, will take place on September 25, but expressed pessimism about the outcome of the talks.

Advani for 'legal protection' to policemen fighting terrorism

Special Cauvery panel meet today
The Centre has convened a special meeting of the Cauvery River Water Authority Monitoring Committee here tomorrow to discuss the shortfall in the water releases by Karnataka to Tamil Nadu against the stipulated norm in the interim award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal.
