Ford Ikon sales up in Aug.
CHENNAI, AUG. 6. Ford India sold 4,228 Ikons in August including
domestic sales of 1,088 and exports of 3,140 CKDs.
With this, Ford Ikon has registered an impressive growth of 183
per cent over the same month in the previous year.
In the quarter ended April-June 2001, the company sold 10,004
Ikons, including domestic sales of 3,872 units and exports of
6,132 CKDs, a growth of 99.4 per cent over last year sales of
5,017 units in the same period. The company sold 52,743 units
since its launch in November 1999.
Ford India launched its new look Ford Ikon Zxi. The latest
edition reflects global styling DNA, according to a release.
The latest change offers consumers a new monochromatic front and
rear-end paint treatment as well as an all new black honey combe
grille with a body colour surround.
The new variant will be available in three new glamour paints -
moondust, silver, panther black and ash green.
