Mira Nair film bags award
VENICE, SEPT. 8. Mira Nair's ``Monsoon Wedding'' was today
awarded the Golden Lion for best picture at the Venice film
festival. The film is a light-hearted account of a wedding in a
wealthy family in contemporary India. Italians Sandra Ceccarelli
and Luigi Lo Cascio won the best actress and actor awards
respectively.
