Bosch group to launch new models of car audio systems
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD, SEPT. 8. Blaupunkt announced the national launch of
five new models of car audio systems with some unique features
across its three existing series - Skyline, Funline and T-Line.
This takes its number of models available in India to 18.
Blaupunkt car audio systems are made in India by Mico (Bosch
group) under licence from Blaupunkt WerkeGmbH, the car multimedia
division of the Roberty Bosch Corporation (Germany), at its
Bangalore assembly unit.
It commands a market share of 7.5 per cent in the Indian market
of about Rs. 300 crores.
The organised market segment, however, comprises only about Rs.
100 crores, according to Mr. Ajay Sahney, head of the Bosch Car
Multimedia Business in Mico.
Speaking to The Hindu on Saturday, Mr. Sahney who is here to
oversee the launch, said the new products had unique features
such as `accoustic correction (digital sound adjustment)' which
mask the negative effect of wind, road and mechanical noises.
It comes with DigiCeiver technology that ensures zero sound
distortion. The three models were being launched almost
simultaneously across the world, he said.
