VHP wants Farooq Govt. to go
JAMMU, SEPT. 9. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad president, Mr. Ashok
Singhal, today criticised the ruling National Conference for
failure to safeguard Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir and said the
Farooq Abdullah Government should be dismissed immediately.
``If the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mr. Farooq Abdullah,
cannot safeguard minority Hindu community in the State from
Pakistani jehadis, his Government should be dismissed
immediately,'' Mr. Singhal told reporters here after addressing a
gathering.
He said Mr. Abdullah had failed to provide safety to Hindus from
increasing militant attacks and, therefore, he should leave his
chair and allow the Central Government to handle the situation in
the State.
